What is your unconscious mind?

The Unconscious Mind

The unconscious mind greatly influences our conscious mind and so our actions and results in life.

So…. I could waffle on about the Conscious, Subconscious and Unconscious mind with references to Freud, Jung then go into the concepts of “implicit” understanding and “explicit”.

Whilst I was doing that your conscious mind would be thinking and rationlising and working things out i.e. understanding things consciously. The “aha I get it moment!”

Meanwhile your unconscious would be dealing with how you felt about things, what you believed about these things and what it believed about you and your abilities to do these things.

Its would also be dealing with all the other things going for you right now, such as your breathing, blinking and would be evaluating your environment such as how the seat felt on your bum and maybe how bright this screen is and quietly observing the environment around you for safety.

It’s also dealing with your emotions, cultural and personal identity, habits and patterns, creativity and a myriad of other things you don’t actually “think” about, but are just a part of who you are right now.

The amazing thing is the unconscious does 90% of your learning and processing without you being aware of it i.e. being conscious of it and it also does it much faster. It does it when you dot even think about it.

Simply think of all the things you have learnt in your life without having to think about learning them. Such as walking, talking, what you like and don’t like, what you believe and I’m sure this list could on and on for us all.

The unconscious works so fast we make choices unconsciously before we are even aware of making the conscious choice.

The unconscious mind learns automatically, and those lessons aren’t available to critical thinking.

They include patterns, thought processes, emotion, memory affect, and motivation and include repressed feelings, automatic skills, subliminal perceptions, sudden thoughts, habits, and automatic reactions, with also hidden phobias needs and desires.

It’s simply the most powerful part of you and you can choose what new ideas and behaviours it learns with hypnotherapy and N.L.P.

Working with a hypnotherapist will allow you to tune up your unconscious mind to get better results in life for you. Think of it like de bugging computer software to make the system run smoother.

In short with you guided into a nicely relaxed state, a qualified and ethical hypnotherapist with talk directly to your unconscious mind possibly in many different ways.

They with you, will plant beautiful seeds deep down that can grow big and strong and also dig out those weeds that have been holding you back.
